Do you have any customers who are landlords of residential or business premises? If so, read on to find out how we can help you to help them when new laws come into force in 2018.
The Energy Act (2011)[1] provides that, from April 2018 at the latest, it will be unlawful to rent out residential or business premises which do not reach a minimum energy efficiency standard - the lowest acceptable energy rating is likely to be E.
This means that landlords of F and G rated buildings will be unable to let them out after April 2018 unless they take active steps to improve the energy efficiency of those buildings….and that’s where you come in!
You will know that installing an effective heating controls system can be a quick and easy way to reduce energy consumption and improve energy efficiency, which makes a property more desirable to tenants due to lower energy bills.
Standard heating controls have been proven to increase the energy efficiency of a property and save over 50% on heating bills. The enhanced control offered by new Drayton’s miGenie mean there’s the potential to save even more. miGenie gives greater freedom and control over the amount of energy being used, and flexibility when it comes to the temperature of the home.
There’s never been a better time to encourage your customers to switch to a smart heating system, and miGenie offers a solution for every installation.
