Drayton’s Digistat changes the game when it comes to heating controls, combining a contemporary new look with app control via Bluetooth, now available in a wired 2-channel version suitable for new build developments.
Heating Control From Your Phone
Bluetooth connectivity offers in-home control of the Digistat via Drayton’s popular Wiser Home app, making it easier than ever for users to create and adjust heating schedules, all from their phone.
Choice of Interface
For the very first time in the Digistat range, customers have the option of choosing between operation via the thermostat or via the easy-to-navigate app for extra convenience. Homeowners can select from either a 7-day, 5/2-day, 24-hour program or no program function, and then simply build their heating schedule via the Wiser Home app to suit their lifestyle. Alternatively, the time and temperature schedule can be easily adjusted on the thermostat itself.
Access to Energy-saving Heating Smart Modes
Homeowners will also benefit from the Away Mode and Delayed Start smart modes, which offer reductions in energy use of up to 14% and 10% respectively. Meanwhile, for extra convenience, Boost mode allows users to temporarily increase the desired temperature for a short period without having to adjust the schedule, whilst Timed Away Mode is ideal for pausing the schedule for longer periods of time, allowing users to set a start and end time and date, similar to a Holiday Mode function.
Who is This Model For?
The new wired 2 channel Digistat is ideal for new build housing developments, offering both ease of installation and a cost-effective solution. It can be used to control heating and hot water in properties with a separate hot water cylinder, or to control two heating zones on a combi boiler when installed with an additional thermostat.
Ready for Retrofit, Ready for the Future
The Digistat is suitable for use with a vast range of today’s systems but is also compatible with future heating set-ups that engineers will be working with in the years ahead, as it is fully optimised for heat pumps as well as oil, gas and electric heat sources. Plus, to help improve the performance of the system and reduce carbon emissions, the Digistat features OpenTherm modulation on the mains relay, wired 2 channel and RF single channel versions.
Merlin Milner, Product Owner at Drayton, said: “Since the launch of the first model in 1994, the Digistat range has become a firm favourite for homeowners. For new build homes, it offers a cost-effective solution that is easy to install and will keep customers happy.
“With our latest innovation, we are excited to be bringing intuitive and smart efficiency-improving technology to our iconic heating control, combining familiarity with ultimate user convenience. Designed for UK heating systems, the Digistat bridges the gap between smart and traditional thermostats, making this a great solution for every customer and application. As part of our commitment to becoming a carbon neutral business by 2025, we’re also thrilled that the Digistat is one of our Green Premium products, designed and manufactured with sustainability in mind.”
